Residence Inn by Marriott Calgary Downtown/Beltline District

A welcome hotel to the Calgary scene and one of the more luxurious Residence Inns. Reasonably located along the ‘Beltline’ and while not downtown but rather it’s a short walk. Well appointed rooms, conference centre and one of the best complimentary breakfast available. Gym is decent and there’s paid washer and dryers. Underground parking. Wish there was a hot tub available for such a large hotel (33 floors) to wind down after a long day. Views are from 31st looking S and NW.

I had a great stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Calgary. The room was spacious with a full kitchen and a comfortable living area, which made it feel more like home than a regular hotel. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and I appreciated having enough space to relax after a long day. The location was convenient, close to downtown, and I enjoyed the view from my room—seeing the train tracks and tall buildings gave it a real Calgary vibe. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were smooth with no hassle. Overall, it was a comfortable and peaceful stay. I would definitely choose this hotel again, especially for longer trips where having a kitchen and extra space really makes a difference. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for one night, on Christmas. Check in was seamless, the room spacious, well appointed and clean. Had Christmas dinner at The Hearth. It was quite a bit busier than anticipated and I felt sorry for the one employee working, but he did very well, making sure everyone was looked after. Calling down for valet and call wouldn't go through. I called from my cell phone and was advised maintenance was already on the way up to fix the issue! When booking, I hadn't realized that breakfast was included, so it was a pleasant surprise. Location was very convenient for our needs and I will definitely return for future stays.

We loved our stay at the hotel! The room was quite spacious, and we really appreciated the amenities included. The city view was great, and the location was perfect. Close to Calgary tourist attractions and walkable to Stephen Avenue and the Wonderland sculpture. We enjoyed the free breakfast during our stay, and the staff were very nice. Even though parking is a separate payment, we still appreciated the underground parking. The only thing that could be a bit annoying was the sound of the train passing by. Overall, it’s a great hotel and we’d definitely stay here again on our next visit!

Parking: 9/10 it was a little bit confusing on the payment mode but had a lot of parking spaces. You can pay using the indigo app or physically with the parking payment machine on site Quality: 10/10 considering the rates we were very satisfied with our stay. They had a whole full kitchen. From pans to chopping boards. It was great.

The layout feels spacious and functional, making it easy to settle in and relax. One of the standout features is the breakfast. The buffet is genuinely impressive, offering a wide variety of fresh, healthy, and delicious options that cater to almost every taste and dietary preference. Everything was well presented and consistently replenished, which made each morning a great start to the day. The staff also deserve a mention. Every interaction I had—whether at reception, housekeeping, or general enquiries—was friendly, professional, and welcoming. It creates a really positive atmosphere throughout the hotel. The facilities are also very practical. There’s a reasonable gym for keeping up with your routine, and the on-site laundry was incredibly handy. At just $3 per wash and $3 per dryer load, it’s affordable and convenient—I used it frequently during my stay and found it to be excellent. The location is slightly removed from the very centre of the city, which I actually appreciated. It feels quieter and more relaxed, and the surrounding area, including the car park, felt more comfortable compared to some of the busier downtown spots. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it to others looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-run hotel in Calgary. My only criticism would be the water pressure in the bathroom. Both the sink and shower were noticeably low, which made it a bit difficult to properly wash and feel refreshed each day. Hopefully this is something that can be improved, as it would make a big difference to an otherwise excellent stay.

The hotel is quite a nice place to stay at. They have amazing views from there rooms at the top and the food is also quite good. The hotel follows the “apartment” model where they give you everything you would have in an apartment so if you are staying longer, it is definitely worth it since you can cook by bringing your own grocery and save money as well. The staff was quite prompt in everything and having the Marriott app may be a good choice, it helps quite a lot!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Residence Inn Downtown Calgary! The room was spacious, modern, and very clean, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great — lots of choices and everything was fresh. Parking was super convenient too — the hotel provided a discount link, so we only paid $8 instead of $35, which was a nice bonus. The shower pressure was a little weak, but since we were on the 27th floor, that’s understandable. The only minor downside was some early-morning noise from street cleaning machines around 4am, but otherwise it was quiet and relaxing. The hotel also has an on-site restaurant, which looked great, but we didn’t get a chance to try it since we wanted to explore some of Calgary’s more notable spots around town. Overall, an excellent stay and we’d definitely book here again!
